Sources close to the Bangladesh Cricket Board have revealed that the months-long saga of the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan was a ploy to remove Stuart Law as coach of Bangladesh.

“We just didn’t have the heart to tell him to his face,” said an official close to the decision. “It was easier this way.”

In a rare show of unity and coordination, the BCB and the Pakistan Cricket Board had been planning “Operation Law Breaker” for months. It is believed that the new PCB chief Zaka Ashraf was brought on specifically for this mission.

Stuart Law announced that he was leaving the Bangladesh coaching position earlier this week. The Bangladesh tour of Pakistan was called off today.
